The FKG Civil team were engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to upgrade two intersections near St George, South Western Queensland.
The upgrade projects will assist to facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles around the town to lessen the impact of traffic on the Main Street and Town Centre, which has been accomplished by improving the intersection turn treatments and enhancing the approaches to the Carnarvon Highway.
TMR awarded this project under the Roads of Strategic Importance (ROSI) initiative, delivering targeted upgrades to the Carnarvon Highway and surrounding roads by improving network efficiency.
TMR have commended the team for the quality and speed of the works delivered, and have praised the professionalism of the workers on the ground, both FKG Civil and subcontractors alike.
