Aveo Lindsay Gardens Aged Care Facility Refurbishment

The FKG Group was engaged by Aveo Group to undertake the refurbishment and upgrade works at Aveo Lindsay Gardens Aged Care Facility. The works were completed in four stages with the first stage encompassing alterations and upgrades to the living rooms, dining rooms and hair salon, as well as an upgrade of the existing toilets to meet disabled access compliance.

The second stage of works included layout modifications of the arts, craft and library areas, café, external alfresco dining, and replacement of existing non-compliant external handrails. Following this, the team commenced stage three which comprised of demolition of internal walls for ambulant compliant toilets, sales office and staff kitchenette facilities.

The final stage of works involved the refurbishment and upgrade of the remaining areas including reception, entry foyer, and entry portico.

Throughout the project, all staged areas also received an upgrade of air-conditioning using a mix of split and ducted systems, dependent on existing ceiling space cavities.

As the entire project was undertaken within an operational environment, the FKG Group ensured works were carried out safely without disruption. Through effective communication with Aveo Group, the FKG Group delivered the project on time and within budget.
