The FKG Group was engaged by the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works to design and construct a new Multi-Purpose Police Facility to house the Queensland Police Service.
The project scope for the 4,076m2 contemporary facility included the construction of meeting rooms, a gymnasium and amenities, a 2,000m2 undercover parking area with entry lobby and future evidence storage areas, an external dog squad building and outdoor staff area, with hard and soft landscaping to external areas, and a complete internal fitout.
With a strict project completion date in place, the project team were able to make substantial structural design changes to ensure the project was completed ahead of schedule, despite additional inclusions to the project scope.
