The Role

An opportunity exists for a HSE Advisor to join our team. You will be based out of Brisbane, travelling throughout the SEQ region as required.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and support to the Project Manager and Site Manager/ Supervisor through the implementation of systems and processes
  • On-site training and education of HSE issues
  • Overseeing the protocols to ensure that pre-planning activities are inclusive of HSE needs
  • The implementation of environmental and work health and safety plans to ensure legislative requirements are always achieved and worked towards

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the below;

  • Vocational or Tertiary qualifications in Safety (minimum Cert IV);
  • 3+ years practical experience directly involved in safety management on commercial construction projects;
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of workplace health and safety and industrial relations regulations and practices applicable to construction sites;
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong grasp of construction methodologies specifically relating to structures, formwork and working at heights; and
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings and design documentation
