The FKG Group was engaged by Southern Cross Care Queensland to design and construct a new five storey building within an existing retirement and aged care community at Holland Park. The contemporary building features 40 spacious and well-appointed units, a basement level car park, common area amenities, and two conveniently positioned lifts .

The scope of work also included extensive bulk earthworks and stormwater diversion works through the site and adjoining streets, infrastructure and services reticulation, and conventional high rise construction with the addition of light weight acoustic and fire rated wall systems throughout.

Works were conducted in a live environment within the operational facility, requiring the team to develop risk mitigation and environmental management strategies to minimise any impact to neighbouring residential properties and the adjacent park.
