The FKG Group was engaged by the Department of Education, Training and Employment to construct a new multipurpose indoor sports facility for the Mirani State High School. The new facility includes amenities and change facilities, sports laboratory, canteen and a storage area and is fitted with specialised sporting equipment and sports flooring.
With previous experience in school environments, the FKG Group’s project team were familiar with school protocols and Work Area Access Permits (WAAP). Noise disruption was monitored and strong communication and traffic management was conducted between school representatives, teachers accessing the oval and the site team.
As a result of outstanding project performance, the facility was delivered one month early and achieved high safety outcomes.
